Feel Good Friday June 15th, 2018

Happy Friday!

It’s Feel Good Friday and this week I’ve got some great recommendations for you about what I’m watching and a behind the scenes look at some of the tools I use to be a tmy best.

Before we get to this week’s Feel Good Friday recommendations, I’ve got to pause for a moment… it hit me today that we’re already half-way through June and Claim Your Power Live is almost here…

Did you get your CYP Live tix yet?

If you’ve followed along on my Instagram Stories you’ve probably noticed the physical prep-work and functional movements I’ve been doing so that I can have the vitality, energy and flexibility to be on stage for 4 full days at CYP Live.

The amount of physical effort it takes to be on stage all day requires me to get in peak physical performance before CYP Live.

I couldn’t be any more excited and ready for CYP Live. It’s going to be awesome.

Here’s this week’s Feel Good Friday…

1. “Trauma” is misunderstood

I’ve been posting about root cause trauma, trauma work and Trauma Hacking™ over on my Instagram this week and there has been some great discussions happening.

You see, trauma is misunderstood. It’s not just some big bad thing that happened to you when you were younger. A breakup, a divorce, being left alone as a child, being in a state of constant stress/anxiety, a soul-sucking job, a toxic relationship, eating toxic foods, addiction, too much work and many other things create trauma, too.

>This post on Instagram about what Trauma and Trauma Hacking™ really is started quite the conversation.

It’s worth checking out. I’m so thrilled that so many people are waking up to the idea that it’s about the trauma and healing it.

We’ve all got trauma, it doesn’t have to be scary and it’s this work that leads you to your purpose and to follow through. This post is worth checking out, so are the comments.

If you’re using or know about all the tools and are still stuck, this post will help you break through to understand the true root cause of why.

2. Creating Business Success After Trauma

You can start or grow a business that you love. If you are unclear, if you are feeling like outside forces or life is getting in the way, if you feel scared to take a leap because of the financial stress – know that that is totally normal. We’ve all been there, and I’ve been there, too.

I wanted to highlight this week’s podcast where I share my story of how I went through a professional trauma and addiction to drugs and turned it into purpose and a sucessful business.

This is an excerpt of Claim Your Power Live 2017.

I do you some strategic curse words for humor and to break patterns in the room, that’s my style. If you’re wanting to create financial or business success after trauma or major life change that’s got you stuck, you’re going to love this podcast eposide.

3. Two Awesome Movies To Watch

I watched TWO great movies this week and have to recommend both to you.

It’s a little hard to admit, but the first movie you’re got to see is called “Book Club”. It’s about an older group of girlfriends who have been friends for decades and their love lives have gotten stale. They have been doing a monthly book clubs for decades and one member of the book club shakes things up by recommending and then demanding they read 50 Shades of Grey.

Then – all hell breaks loose. The writing and the story was awesome.

>Click here to watch Book Club.

The second movie is CRAZYWISE. This is an important film. This movie will move you. It speaks volumes about mental health and how it is perceived in different parts of the world. This is a MUST WATCH!

What if a psychological crisis or psychotic break wasn’t a bad thing, what if it was the beginning of a breakthrough or major life change and was actually a good thing?

CRAZYWISE goes into detail about what psychological crisis really is… and it’s worth a watch. You can’t see it in theatres, but you can rent or buy it online…

4. Put An End to Conflicting Food Advice & Trust Your Gut

One of the most powerful things you can do to help change your life, to feel better and to get your energy back is make sure you have a healthy gut (also called your microbiome). My new favorite tool is called Viome, you can get $50 off my clicking here.

I’ve lost 10 pounds in two weeks using Viome, and I’ve never felt better. Bloating and a lot of my inflammation is gone. I’ve got more energy… all by changing to eat the exact food I need for my body. I love me some Viome. Everyone’s microbiome is totally unique, so what’ good for me, or your friend or family member may not be good for you.

What is your Viome trying to tell you? Find out right here.

5. Sharing The Inbox Love

Check out this message I received this week about coming to CYP Live in Orlando…

“I just booked my plane ticket for Claim Your Power Live.

I’ve never been so ready in my life. I am the type of person who usually waits

until the new year to start something new. No more! I’m sick of waiting.

I’m not waiting another 6 months. I’m ready NOW!

I’m bringing my a-game to Orlando. You better be ready for me!”

YES! No more waiting, can’t wait to see you soon at CYP LIVE!

OK – that’s it for this week’s Feel Good Friday!

Have a great day 🙂

Remember to get out there, take action and make your Purpose real!

Feel Good Friday May 29th, 2018

Welcome to this week’s Feel Good Friday 🙂

Quick reminder, on Friday’s I share things from this week with you like… what I’ve been reading, to products/apps, what caught my attention or a new tool that can help you get results faster and everything else that I use to get results in my life.

It’s like a sneak peek into my world, so that you can stay informed, out front and always in the know.

1. How do you find the best Functional Medicine Doctor?

A Functional Medicine Doctor is a key part of a healthy, energetic and long life. But, not all Functional Doctor’s are the same. Functional Medicine Docs don’t just treat symptoms, they also treat and focus on the root cause of why you have a dis-ease. There’s different types of Functional Medicine Doctor certifications one can get.

I did extensive research and found that IFM (The Institute for Functional Medicine) has the best certification available. If you’re looking for a Functional Medicine Doc, make sure they are IFM Certified. IFM is out front and on the cutting edge of so many amazing new healing modalities. If you don’t know where to find an IFM Functional Med doc, no worries, they have a “Find a Practitioner” feature on their website.

>Click here to find a Functional Medicine Doctor in your area.

And, if you want to see the proof about how Functional Medicine is getting amazing results?

A new study hows how a woman, who was suffering for 44 years, applied Functional Medicine in her life and had many symptoms either reversed or improved.

>Click here to see the case study on Functional Medicine.

2. Move your body

Part of my daily routine is incorporating movement first thing in the morning. AM Cardio is my jam. And, moving in many different planes, so that I have healthy joints and can speak on stage without injury.

One of the best investments I’ve made in the past year is creating a home gym (for free with saved up Amex Points!).

It saves me time and money by not having to go anywhere and getting my workout done at home.

With Claim Your Power Live coming up i’m focused on getting my body ready for peak physical performance.

I’m loving this new piece of equipment called the Flex Disc. It’s a low-impact, rolling platform that you can workout with. It’s omni-directional. You can do SO many different movements with it.

>Click here to check out the Flex Disc.

Your trainer will be impressed.

3. Anti-Inflammatory

As you may know, chronic llow-gradeinflammation is the root cause of a lot of chronic illness and problems in our bodies. We’ve got to do what we can to reduce inflammation and help our bodies heal. One of the best natural solutions for reducing inflammation is turmeric or curcumin. Problem is, in order to take advantage of it’s anti-inflammatory properties, you need to heat it up and it can take a long time. But, I’ve found a new solution that doesn’t require that and is up to 27x more bioavailable than most other turmeric products.

I’ve been taking it for the past few weeks and never felt better. I’ve lost 10 pounds (of inflammation, not fat), my joints feel great and I even took this stuff instead of an Advil for a headache and it worked! It’s called Theracurmin HP.

It’s a polyphenol. It has significant anti-inflammatory properties. I’m loving it. (Note: please consult a doctor before starting a new supplement protocol.)

>Click here to check out Theracurmin HP.

5. Biohacking Your Nervous System

This week on the Power & Purpose podcast I featured a live talk I did at the Bulletproof Conference in 2017. I talk about the real reason why we biohack, why we set goals and most importantly why unhealed emotional trauma gets in the way of meditation, yoga, prayer, biohacking…essentially any way you are trying to improve yourself.

7. Sharing The Inbox Love

I wanted to share this heartwarming message I received this week in my inbox…

“Mastin…I wanted to thank you for your message.

I’m stuck at my job. It pays ok. I’m one of about 250 other employees. It’s not what my heart desires though. I’ve felt a nudge for years that I should go all-in on my own business.

What you said about 6 months being too long to do something really struck a chord with me. You’re right. I always make these plans and set goals and then when the time comes I forget about it or I find some excuse on why I should stay where I’m at.

I’m done. No more 6 month plan to start my own business. No more 3 month plan. I’m starting now. And that looks like me setting aside time everyday, to create my exit strategy now.

I’ve already took the first step and bought the domain name i’m going to use. I’m taking action now.

No more feeling stuck. Time to stop the doubt. It’s time to move forward.

Thank you.”

AWESOME SHARE! Proud of you my friend!

OK – that’s it for this week’s Feel Good Friday!

Have a great Friday 🙂

Speak up – This isn’t a popularity contest

Speak up… speak the truth with love. That’s the name of the game.

Here’s the truth… not everyone will like it. Keep speaking from your heart. Keep speaking the truth with Love. Keep your compassion and your empathy.

Remember, this isn’t a popularity contest. It’s not about if someone “likes” or “follows” you. It’s about you staying aligned with your Purpose… what you value most and who you really are.

This isn’t about being liked by everyone… if you want to be liked by everyone you will never change your life or the world. When you can like yourself… rest easy with yourself… and when you serve others… that’s what’s most important.

Know this: when you trade the need to be liked for everyone for the need to speak your truth… you change your life and the world.

Trade the need for approval from others to approving of yourself… and then let the chips fall where they may.

You’ll rest easy… and remember… social media has a delete button… use it.

And keep speaking up.

Time’s Up

“What I know for sure is speaking your truth is the most powerful tool we all have.” – Oprah Winfrey

We will look back and see January 7th, 2018 as a turning point.

Our mission here at Team Mastin is to end emotional trauma in our life time.

This includes helping as many people as I can speak up, heal their wounds/traumas, and let go of their guilt/shame and step into a life of Purpose.

Over the past 10 years I’ve worked with 99% women in this pursuit.

Last month was a huge step forward.

As Ms. Oprah Winfrey was honored as the first African American Woman to recieve the Cecil B DeMille award, she gave a speech that is for the history books.

Today, it’s a new world.

Two things for you to do to today:

1. Watch’s Ms. Winfrey’s riveting speech all the way to the end. (Then share it with any woman or person who has been marginalized/abused today. Share it with your children. Your sisters. Daughters.)

2. Donate to the Time’s Up Fund for women who need legal representation for cases of sexual abuse/assault and harassment/discrimination.

Welcome to a new world. Today is the first day of a new era.

Together, let’s keep building a world where no one ever needs to say “me, too” again.

Remember to get out there, take action & make your Purpose real!

Embrace the S T R E T C H! Outside of your comfort zone.

I feel inspired to write today about the idea that MASTERY requires a constant attempt.

That is – there is no time to stop growing.

And part of growing is always doing personal development work of some kind.

It could be a desire to master your business, or master your body, or your family or your creative expression.

Whatever it is, it requires us to grow. And growing means we need to always be stretching outside our comfort zone.

And it means that we should be surrounding ourselves with mentors and teaches to help us grow!

This is a BIG ONE.

I am always trying to surround myself with people who know more than me, or can FEEL deeper than me, who are super creative, super successful, super soulful or who are more childlike than me.

All of these things are aspects that I want to create more of in my life.

And so I’m constantly setting goals outside my comfort zone, constantly putting myself in personal growth environments and giving just a little bit beyond my comfort zone.

One of my aims in life is to constantly feel the S T R E T C H.

Not to get too comfortable.

To feel a little uneasy, not as punishment, but as growth.

It’s like working out. I know I’ve REALLY had a great workout when I’ve push myself just beyond my comfort zone.

This is when the exercise is really working.

Same thing in yoga – the yoga stretch begins when it gets uncomfortable.

I don’t think that we should push ourselves so hard that we tear ourselves (or the muscle), but just enough so that it’s a little uncomfortable.

This is a good thing.

Because it is this discomfort that helps us to keep growing.

When things are easy and routine and the same, we feel safe, but we don’t always feel fulfilled or happy.

So, it is the dedication to learning, the dedication to growth and the dedication to living slightly uncomfortably that brings the magic in life.

This is how it is for anyone who achieves at the highest level.

And if you want to add major spiritual, emotional and financial octane to the fuel of your life – then make your life about service.

Serving others is where it’s at. And if we are always growing at that, we are on track for massive inner and outer success this year!

So, where in your life can you S T R E T C H it out? And get a little uncomfortable?

Remember to get out there, take action & make your Purpose real!

Abundant 2018

Let’s make 2018 the most abundant year you’ve ever had. It’s time to reset and get back on track… and this year… let’s set the bar higher.

More abundance of time, money, energy, relationships, love and impact.

Deal?

There’s one major mindset shift you can make right now to get there. Wanna know what it is?

Here it is: shift from thinking “either/or” to “yes/and”.

Meaning: instead of thinking you can only have “this” OR “that”… tap into the idea that you can have or create BOTH.

There was a time in my life when I decided to make the leap from a soul sucking job to starting my own business. I didn’t have any help, or a mentor… or a soul tribe cheering me on.

Just an inner knowing… a calling deep within that I was supposed to do something with my life bigger than be in an office all day long under the harsh florsecent lights giving my life and my life energy away to someone else… and someone who didn’t really value what I was bringing (hint: neither was I at the time).

When I first decided to go out on my own… My family wanted me to be financially safe, so they told me to have a Plan B (to be a bartender). After a few months of trying and little results (remember, no mentor… no support… no guidance… I thought I could do it alone at the time) my fam said that I needed to “get a job”.

The mindset was: you can have financial security but not freedom. You can make a living, but not doing what you love.

Even though I didn’t fully believe myself, I declared to my family that I indeed wanted to have both. To make a living AND do what I loved. That my life would be a life that I loved no matter what. And that life would involve serving others and being super happy most of the time.

And, that choice paid off. Your whole life can change with just one small thought… today… examine your thinking and see if there is any “either/or” sounding voices telling you “this” or “that”.

Once you’ve figured out your either/other story… replace it with yes/and. What if you could have both?

You can.

And living the most abundant year ever in 2018 means deciding that you can have it all… you can have both.

The next question is… who do you have to become and how can you serve others in a way that makes this declaration a reality?

Then make 2018 the year you answer that question.

Remember to get out there, take action & make your Purpose real!

Get back up & make the most of 2018… here’s how

Happy New Year! 2018 is here! And… let’s make sure this is your best year yet!

There seems to be a big anti-Resolutions movement happening. Seeing people saying that “Resolutions” don’t work… or that they are just gunna stay the same.

I think that is all a bumch of malarkey. It doesn’t matter if you call them Resolutons, goals… intentions. They work… but only when you do.

And… if you’ve fallen off the wagon, or are quite getting the results you want. That’s okay. This is a the perfect time to get back up.

But – there’s the key to making it stick.

Why will you set your Resolution or intention? If the answer is all about you… or you don’t know… well… then all this positive movement won’t last. You’ve got to have an idea about why you’re doing this bigger than just you.

Maybe it’s time to prove the naysayers wrong? Or maybe it’s time to prove the people that believe in you right?

Maybe it’s time to show your family how to really do this… by setting the example. For your children or loved ones. Or… maybe you have a mission to change the world.

What is your “WHY”? Why are you doing to stay consistently aligned in 2018? Why are you going to double down and give 2018 your all?

And… why is NOW the right time to start?

I’d love to know. Comment and share with me why NOW is the right time. Why are you getting back up? Why are you going to stay consistently aligned?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Get out there, take action & make your purpose real!

Want faster results? Can you stop all complaining for 14 days?

I want to give you a tip today that will allow you to achieve success with faster results.

Simple… yet powerful idea… ready?

For the past few months, I got caught up in one area of my life with a little bout of complaining. It was in my health. I was travelling and was having a hard time keeping up with my diet and sleep on the road. And… I knew it. And, I complained about it.

But wait, let me clarify before I go any further…

What’s the difference between a complaint and a declaration? Does not complaining mean turning a blind eye to the problem and being a “pollyanna”?

According to Webster’s there are three complaint definitions:

1. Expression of grief, pain, or dissatisfaction.

2. Something that is the cause or subject of protest or outcry.

3. A formal allegation against a party.

So – how do we make the leap from complaint to declaration?

Ken Blanchard, from his famous “One Minute Manager” sums it up nicely:

“If you can’t tell me what you’d like to be happening, you don’t have a problem yet. You’re just complaining. A problem only exists if there is a difference between what is actually happening and what you desire to be happening.”

And that’s the difference… right… there.

Webster’s defines a “declaring” as:

1. To make known as a determination.

2. To make clear

If you look at the word and it’s latin roots… delcare breaks down into “de” which translates into “thoroughly” and “clarus” which translates into “clear”.

So, to delcare something is to make your outcome thoroughly clear.

The problem is… most of us aren’t sure what our outcome is and so we aren’t clear.

Here’s the bottomline. If all you do is look a the problem and make it bigger, you will always have something to complain about it.

I know that I did. I was complaining about the smallest and silliest things. About how airports didn’thave healthy food, and it was impossible to sleep on red-eyes, or that the mini-bar in the hotel fridge was always packed with sugar or that it was just “too” hard to eat cleanly on the road.

I wasn’t focused on outcome. And I forgot a core truth… there’s no such thing as a rich, wealthy, healthy and happy complainer.

There is so much to complain about in the world today. We can complain about the Government, Trump, the cold ass weather, going to our job that we hate or the state of the world.

And when all we do is complain… well… we add to the very thing we dislike.

To switch is to go from simply complaining… to declaring how you desire it to be and then making that so. In your declaration, you do not discount what is wrong. You simply foocus on closing the gap between what is happening and how you desire it to be.

So – here is my challenge for you. Should you choose to accept it, you will get faster results (you might also anger people you know… intimately). So, I want to warn you that this challenge is not for the faint of heart.

Join me in a 2 week (14 day) “no complaint” challenge. For two weeks, stop all complaining in what you say and what you think… when you find yourself complaining… bring it back and re-focus on closing the gap between what’s happening and how you desire it to be.

Make your outcomes thoroughly clear and then speak them into existence and align your actions with your words.

Let me know if you’re going to take me up on this challenge and tell me how it’s going. I’m going to want to hear about and see your progress for the next two weeks. And… notice, who in your life will easily complain with you? Might be time to take a step back and surround yourself with declarers, not complainers.

For me, my delcaration is that I am healthy, fit and strong. I exercise daily and eat foods that are aligned with my highest health and support my microbiome and that travelling is an opportunity for me to double down on my self-love and self-care.

What’s yours?

Get out there, take action & make your purpose real!

Let me re-introduce myself

It’s that time of year… the Holidays are winding down and the New Year isn’t quite here yet. It’s the in between.

And it’s natural this time of year to be reflective and start thinking about your goals and what you want to create in 2018. I know that’s what I’ve been doing.

2017 was a year of massive transformation for me, personally. It’s been about three years in the making… changing from “The Daily Love” guy… to doing what I do now, and I’ll tell you, it wasn’t easy to make the switch. Deep down, I always knew that I had something I wanted to contribute to the world, but it was scary to declare that, to own that… and then to claim it in the real world.

After The Daily Love blog became so successful, even mention by Oprah on Super Soul Sunday, I found it hard to let go of. But… the success wasn’t the real reason why it was hard to let go. The real reason was… it was easier to hide behind other people than to be the teacher, the coach and the person I was becoming.

The Daily Love blog had turned into high level coping and high level hiding. But, I had something else coming through me. It was what would become the Claim Your Power book and the process of Functional Life Coaching.

2017 was the year that both Claim Your Power and Functional Life Coaching were born, and me along with it. And that process has been a massive transformation.

I’ve come to believe that success isn’t about what I thought it was about. I used to think that success was doing what I wanted, when I wanted, where I wanted, as much as I wanted with whomever I wanted…

The big lesson for me in 2017 was that the true measure of success is how well you can heal your core trauma’s and then dedicate your life to being of service. Learning how to heal all the parts of myself that were still scared to be seen, still scared to be recognized, still scared to be rejected. While, at the same time, falling in love with the difference I was making and making my life more about helping others than it was about what I wanted.

What I wanted was to hide. To keep playing it safe. But what needed to happen was… I needed to step up, speak out and focus on serving other people with what my unique gifts were.

There was never a moment more sobering than that moment when Donal Trump became elected President. Not because of politics. But because I saw that Trump was a reflection of us. A reflection of our fear. A reflection of all the unhealed trauma’s of our country and our people.

My mission is to end emotional trauma in my lifetime. I don’t know if I’ll get there, but 2017 was the year that I delcared to myself, my Creator and life that I would not hide my gifts. I would not stay silent and I would not allow unhealed trauma to run amok without doing something about it.

That’s what Trump represents… he is the face of unhealed trauma. The unhealed trauma of the African Americans who ancestors were slaves that built this country and made a lot of rich white men… even richer. The unhealed trauma of the “Me, too” movement… where countless women and men have been assualted sexually and otherwise by people in power (a lot of them white men). The unhealed trauma of the Indigious People of the Americas who were pushed backed, killed and stole the land from as settlers.

And… the unhealed Truama that many white people still carry with them, which is the embedded shame they carry for our actions against so many marginalized people and the total fear that if a white person (ideally man) isn’t in charge, that we will fade into oblivion.

Trump is a sign of the times. A sign of the divide. A sign of the pain that we must heal as individual people, as familes, cities, states, a country and the world.

Trump is a wake up call. A call to listen to each other. To find common ground. To see how more alike we are than different. We must start to learn that we can only influence people that we listen to and try to understand… and dare I say LOVE.

All the pressures of the world, the unhealed trauma’s that are making their ways to the surface… demanded that I go all in. And that’s what I’ve done and what I will keep doing.

The reason why I’ve been silent on email and with the podcast is because I wasn’t sure what to do in today’s world.

Simply putting out more of the same content, without recognizing marginalized voices, without recognizing the struggle of so many today, without being able to talk about the elephan in the room… I wasn’t sure how to do it.

It’s taken some time, but I think I’m clear. You see, I am not “for” Republicans or Democrats. I am not for men or women. Black or white. All those things are just words we use to discuss and label our diffences.

What I’m “for” is one thing – the progress of the human spirit that dwellls within all of us. It’s in Democrats. Republicans. Men. Women. Black, white. We all have the same Spirit and the same Heart. And for all of us, that Spirit and that Heart is covered in unhealed trauma’s.

And we’ve gotten lost in the noise, forgetting who we are.

I had to find a way to reconcile in my mind how fast the landscape of our lives has changed and how to talk about it in a way that gets to the heart of the matters I care about, without choosing a side.

The only side I choose is truth. The only side I choose is freedom. The only side I choose to equality for all. The only side I choose is prosperity for all.

It took a lot of reflection and contemplation to get to this point. I’ve not been consistent because I haven’t had the words… I know that’s ironic for someone who is a professional speaker and author by trade.

But, these times are different. It’s a different context now. The same old stuff won’t work. And not talking about it… that won’t work either.

So, welcome back. I’m looking forward sharing more podcasts with you.

And… I am also looking forward to helping 2018 be the most abundant year of your life (so far). More on that later.

For now… Let me re-introduce myself.

My name is Mastin Kipp and I’m here to help you cut through the BS, get to the heart of the matter. Together, I’ll help you choose truth, choose freedom, choose quality for all and choose prosperity (this includes yourself). Together, we’ll work as a team to help you speak up for what matters most to you, to learn how to listen to those you disagree with and how to cut out all the distractions and heal all the unhealed traumas of your life that are keeping you stuck… and live a life of Purpose.

It’s nice to meet you.

Getting Real About Learning Disorders (This was hard to share)

Learning has been hard for me my whole life.

Right now, it’s fall and we are in full swing of school.

This time of year was always hard for me, because I immediately felt behind in school.

I didn’t learn as fast or the same way as the other kids, I thought I was dumb, slow or just not smart.

I had undiagnosed ADHD, dyslexia and multiple traumatic brain injuries at the time.

It was until much later (and dropping out of college) that I learned about my brain and why it was so hard for me to get through school, and part of the reason why I dropped out of college.

Today, I want to take the first step and share a little bit about my experience with ADHD/dyslexia and TBI’s.

And, I want to make you aware of an amazing resource that can help you or your child learn better and turn this disability into a gift.

If you are a parent or student or anyone who has learning disabilities, this is a must have resource.

I am thinking of all the parents and children who may not have the tools they need to identify and overcome a learning disability.

While I now see my ADHD/dyslexia and TBI’s as a gift, it sure didn’t feel that way back then.

Leave a comment here and let me know.

Do you or someone you know have a learning disability? How has it hurt you/them? How was it been a blessing and a gift?

Let me know in the comments.

I hope my story inspires you to take action, to have compassion and to use the tools.

Remember to get out there, take action and make it real.
