How to conquer fear.

We’ve got fear all wrong.

We think that fear is the opposite of love.

This belief is stopping you from unlocking your unlived potential and holding you back from living your purpose.

For us to live our purpose, for us to get unstuck, for us to live the life we know deep in our guts that we’re meant to be living – we must conquer fear.

However, conquering fear doesn’t mean getting rid of fear. We must learn to see fear in a new way.

Did you know that there are two types of fear?

There’s a good kind of fear and a bad kind of fear.

I break it all down in this week’s episode of Claim Your Power TV.

The good fear means we are coming closer to living our purpose.
The bad fear means that we are holding back our unlimited potential.

I’m here to assist you to bring to life all the dormant potential within you and help be a voice of encouragement for you to take the leap and find courage.

When you learn the difference between these two types of fear (good vs bad) – you take massive control over your life. And you have powerful clarity that will help you understand the exact next steps you can take to get unstuck and get about the business of living your purpose.

Not knowing the difference will keep you stuck on the hamster wheel while life just passes you right on by.

Let’s learn the difference between good fear and bad fear.

Knowing this one key distinction could be the exact thing you’ve been looking for to create a true and lasting breakthrough in your life.

And after you’ve discovered the difference between these two types of fear, leave a comment and let me know:

1. What kind of fear bas been stopping you up until now
2. Now that you know this, what is your next action step?
3. How will taking this courageous step move you forward in your life and create positive ripple effects.

I love hearing from you. Your stories about the new decisions and directions you’re taking inspire me. I’m here to help you get unstuck and start thriving.

Let’s do it.

Oh, and if there’s anyone else you know that’s stuck and could use a good “pep talk” – send them to this blog. You might just change their life. And it might be easier fo them to digest when it comes from me instead of you.

Make it a great day.

And remember to get out there, take action & make it real!

All my love,

Hi and welcome to Claim Your Power TV! I’m your host Mastin Kipp, where each week I will guide you to live your purpose with passion! This week we’re going to talk about how to conquer fear.

So I’ve got good news and I’ve got bad news for you.

The good news is you certainly can conquer fear. The bad news is fear is never going to go away. And in fact, it’s recognizing that fear is never going to go away that helps you conquer it.

There’s this idea in the spiritual community that fear is this dark force that we must avoid like Darth Vader or Voldemort. But the truth is, if you look at the way our brains are wired in the limbic system, fear is an automatic, nervous system response to uncertainty. And the strange dichotomy and joke, the divine joke here is that to live your purpose, to step out and to be big and to grow and to expand and to grow beyond what you currently are as far as circumstance requires that on a daily basis you face your fears.

So the way in which you conquer your fear is to stop expecting yourself to not be afraid.

You’re going to be afraid. That’s the reality. I can tell you that before I step on a stage, before I write a book, before I travel, before I do anything that brings me closer to my purpose, there is fear. So the way we must learn to conquer fear is to refrain fear and recognize that there’s actually two types of fear.

The first type of fear is survival fear. Survival fear looks like this: I’m walking down an alleyway and there’s a person with a weapon. In survival fear, it’s necessary to run. Or if I’m in the military in a combat zone, it’s necessary to be afraid to stay alive. So there are moments where when our survival is on the line, fear keeps us alive. The problem is our brain is binary and cannot tell the difference between survival fear and what we call irrational fear.

Irrational fear is if I live my purpose then I’ll die or if I speak up and become my authentic self no one will approve of me or if I decide to finally lose the weight no one will love me because I show my true self, or whatever the irrational fear is. And what I spend most of my time doing is helping my clients distinguish between survival fear, which is necessary, and irrational fear, which is just the brain doing what the brain does which is trying to keep you alive. So the brain, the limbic system, is challenged by your spiritual growth because it’s scary to grow spiritually. When you have new spiritual insight, when you have new spiritual awareness, all of a sudden there is new stuff you’ve got to do. Maybe you’ve got to break up with someone. Maybe you’ve got to disagree with someone. Maybe you have to redefine your power with your family of origin. Or maybe it’s time to start a business. Or maybe it’s time to finally stop saying you’re big boned and realize that you’ve got to stop binging on Netflix and eating pizza at night. Whatever it is, you can certainly live your purpose. You can certainly grow into who you’re meant to become.

But you’ve got to look at the difference between survival fear and irrational fear.

Here’s a tip for today, a coaching tip for you. Make a list of all the things you’re afraid of. Make a whole list. It could be “I’m scared of spiders” and “I’m scare that if I start my blog no one will open my email” or whatever the fear is. It doesn’t matter. Make an entire list and ask yourself is this irrational fear or is this a survival fear? So if you’re afraid that you’re not going to make your rent every month, well that’s a necessary fear because we obviously have to make our rent every single month. And before you can live an abundant life on your own business, you’ve got to figure out how to make money doing that. So of course there might be a job you keep until you start to live your own business. But make a list and start to understand is this irrational fear or is this survival fear?

And here’s what I want you to do: If it’s survival fear, understood. No worries. All good. Make sure to really address those so that you stay alive. And then on your irrational fear side, I want you to go straight into them. Call bullshit. That’s what I want you to do. Sorry for the language, but call bullshit on your fear and go straight into them because the truth is, not everyone is going to approve of you, not everyone is going to be happy by your individuation, not everyone is going to celebrate your new spiritual awareness. Do not let that stop you. It is an irrational fear. If you knew who walked beside you at all times, if you knew how supported you were spiritually, if you knew that there was a Divine presence, a Divine creator urging you to live your purpose, urging you outside of your irrational fear you would never question yourself again. But my friend, the journey is about knowing that for yourself. It’s easy for me to say.

And the other thing is you might be thinking, easy for you, Mastin. You have this blog and your wrote a book and you’ve been on SuperSoul Sunday, etc. but the thing is, the way in which those things happened were by following the advice I’m giving you right now. You see the master. Someone who’s further ahead of you who has faced those fears, has gone through it. And it was just as difficult for me when I was couch surfing. It was  just as difficult for me when I was in corporate America and wanted to switch as it is for you before you switch. And so I’m here with this beacon on the other side saying, “Come on over. It’s okay. Lean on faith. Lean on your Creator. Lean on the Divine.” There is a way for you. And the way that you conquer fear is to anticipate it and then to tell the difference between survival fear and irrational fear. And here’s what you’ll find – 99% of what you’re afraid of is irrational fear.

So my deep wish for you is that if you’re watching this video over on YouTube or over on Facebook, come on over to and leave a comment below this video and let me know have you been afraid of survival fears or irrational fears and what are they? What specifically are your irrational fears? And here’s the most important thing: what is your plan of action to go straight into those irrational fears and eradicate them? And to anticipate that every time you grow, there are going to be more irrational fears. The quality of your success, the quality of your ability to live your purpose is directly related with your ability to conquer and understand your irrational fears because most of your fears are irrational.

Also, remember you can subscribe to our video over at YouTube and please come on over to, enter your name and email address so that you can get your weekly updates that I don’t share anywhere else. My deepest wish here at Claim Your Power TV is that you take all this information, you get out there, take action and make it real. We’ll see you next week!

Big news!

Before we get to this week’s coaching video “The five core elements of spiritual growth” – I want to share big news with you.

Daily Love TV is now – Claim Your Power TV.

You may have noticed that I am winding down “The Daily Love” as you’ve known it. We’ve stopped sending daily emails. We’ve stopped featuring other bloggers. And now, emails come from me, rather than “The Daily Love” or “Daily Love with Mastin Kipp”.

I want to thank you for being a special and important part of my life. For opening my emails. For reading my blogs and watching my videos. And then taking what you’ve learned and applying it to your life.

I do what I do for you.

Over a year ago, a mentor of mine who I respect in a big way told me, “Mastin, I want you to pick up your staff and comfort me as a teacher.”

Her words have resonated deep in my Soul ever since. I knew that meant that I had to change things up. And, to be honest, I’ve been terrified.

I didn’t want to let you down. I had gotten so used to sending daily emails. I love our bloggers. I love the Daily Love brand. And I thought that if I quit doing it the way that I was doing it, everything would end.

But, deep within my Soul I knew it was time for evolution and transformation. And I’ve been making these changes slowly and timidly this year.

Another small step in that direction is renaming Daily Love TV to Claim Your Power TV. Our new tag line is “Weekly guidance to live your purpose with passion.”

When I got still and asked myself what I do and who I am…

I realized I am a teacher and a guide.

And what I love most is bringing people home to themselves and their version of The Divine.

And, truth be told, I was terrified to own this fact. I shunned calling myself a teacher. I shunned calling myself a guide. I hid. I didn’t want to go too “woo woo”.

Until my mentor called me out and told me, it was time to up my game.

So, I’m declaring it here – I am a Spiritual Teacher.

I made the decision to make this change on August 30th, 2015 when I heard that Wayne Dyer had passed away. He was gone too soon. And I realized I didn’t have another moment to waste.

As this transition continues, I will be shutting down and moving everything over to my site (details coming soon).

My intention moving forward is: to bring mentorship, guidance and compassion to a community of people who value love, growth, courage, empathy, and spirituality. To continue to share my experience – the ups and downs, and to be a Light on your path and a fellow student by your side.

This is not an ego move. This is a deep call from my Soul.

I realize that not everyone will agree with or like this new direction. And that’s okay. What’s true is what we either grow together, or we grow apart.

My hope is that we can grow together because I feel like we are just getting started.

There are five core elements to spiritual growth that helped me come to this decision and all important decisions I’ve ever made.

If you feel stuck, if you feel static, if nothing is moving in your life, these core principles will get you on the fast track to living a life of purpose.

When you apply these five core spiritual principles in your life, it will require that you make courage your new normal.

And, what’s so cool – you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here for you and so is our entire community.

Remember to leave a comment and let me know how you are going to bring courage into your life today.

Here’s to claim your power.
Here’s to following your gut.
Here’s do doing it afraid.
Here’s to staying close to your Soul.

I’ll see you soon.

All my love,

Hey there and welcome to the new Claim Your Power TV with your host Mastin Kipp, where each week I will guide you to live your purpose with passion! This is a great, exciting re-brand for us. Claim Your Power is our new brand moving forward. Something that I’m so passionate about is teaching you how to live your purpose, and there are so many facets and so many elements of living your purpose that I thought it was vital to change the name of this offering to you so that we could go even deeper on helping you live your purpose.

This week I’m going to help you uncover the five core elements of spiritual growth. There are many elements to spiritual growth, but there are five core elements that I want to share with you today.

The first core element of spiritual growth is vision. You have to have a vision for where you’re going. The vision for where you’re going comes from that still, quiet place inside of you. You don’t want to get your vision from comparing yourself to others. You don’t want to get your vision from what your family or friends think you should do or what magazines or news say you should do. Vision comes from within. So you have a vision, you have imagination, you have something that you want to create in life. The first core element of spiritual growth is tapping into your vision.

Which brings me to the second core element of spiritual growth, which is listening. But who and what do you want to listen to? Here we want you listen to your heart, to your soul, to your higher wisdom, and that requires getting still. They say that meditation is listening to God or the divine and prayer is talking to God or the divine. In order to have a vision, you have to listen to your heart and to your soul. Without listening, you’re going to be misdirected and misguided all over the place. You’re going to say, well where should I go? Should I listen to this person or that person? A lot of times we see clients who have to go to 10, 20, 30 other people to get permission before they actually make a decision. So what we want you to do is have a vision that comes from listening to your heart.

And then the most important thing, the third stage of spiritual growth – and this is a big one, this is huge – is taking courageous action, which is action in the face of fear. A client recently asked me, “Mastin, how can I tell the difference between a loving choice and fearful choice because I’m scared?” And here’s the truth. When you’re listening to your soul, when you’re listening to your heart, you WILL be afraid because you will be stepping out into uncertainty. So it’s not a question of love versus fear, but of expansion versus contraction. So when you’re making a decision and ask ‘is this my heart, is this my soul?’ get still. Go inside and ask myself, am I going to feel expanded by this choice or contracted by this choice? And there’s the thing – if you feel expanded and scared, you know that that is your heart and your soul talking to you. It’s a vital piece of spiritual growth.

And then after we take courageous action, this is the fourth core element of spiritual growth – faith. Faith in yourself. Faith in the divine. Faith in God. Faith that you never walk alone. And faith that the challenges that come, the setbacks that come are not failures; they are temporary defeat. There’s a massive difference between permanent defeat and failure and temporary defeat. The truth is that if you’re going to live your purpose, if you’re going to grow spiritually, you will certainly come up against temporary defeat. That is absolutely something that you will experience. But it’s only failure if you decide to stop and quit. Otherwise it’s temporary defeat and it requires the faith to recognize that within that temporary defeat is an opportunity of equal or greater measure than the temporary defeat that you’re going through and that requires faith.

I personally believe that what we want, what’s put in our heart and soul to desire to create in life is purposely placed out of reach in this lifetime so that we may become the person it takes to realize our purpose and to realize our goal. And so, when you have setbacks, when you’re terrified, when you feel like there’s no way, it’s vital to have faith because you need faith to go with your courageous action because there will be fear and fear is calm with faith and knowing that no matter what comes your way there is a spiritual lesson. And when you learn the lesson you can progress and move on and it is inevitable that you will reach your goal.

And then the final core element of spiritual growth is service. If you’re growing just for yourself, if you’re growing just for your own satisfaction and approval and ego you are not growing spiritually. There’s a massive difference between being rich and having lots of money and being wealthy where you feel fulfilled and abundant every single day. And chances are if you’re watching this program, you’re interested in wealth. You’re interested in feeling abundant. You’re interested in feeling fulfilled. And when you make your life about dedicating yourself and your purpose, not just to yourself but to a larger cause greater than yourself that is what produces spiritual growth.

So to recap, the five elements of spiritual growth are vision, listening to your higher wisdom and to your heart, taking courageous action, living in faith and serving other people. If you can focus on these five core elements of spiritual growth and make your life a dedication to embody these core elements, your life will change massively and dramatically and quickly.

It is my great wish that you take this information and embody it and not just watch this video and then go, “That was nice,” and scroll on down Facebook or YouTube or wherever you like to be, but to really stop and ask yourself, what is my vision? When can I schedule time to get still and listen? And what specific courageous action could I take, what thing could I do that I’m scared to do? And how could I have the faith to know that as I take this action and I hit that temporary defeat that’s sure to come, how can I have faith in the middle of that knowing that there’s a spiritual lesson there? And then finally, how can I make my mission about being selflessly of service to other people? Really think about this. Take this to heart. Don’t make this just another couple minutes that you’re watching on the internet. Really allow yourself to take this in and apply it. I promise you that if you do, your life will change in miraculous ways.

Now you might be watching this video over on Facebook or over on YouTube. I’m going to encourage you to come on over to and below this video leave your comment. Let me know what has happened when you’ve stepped out on faith? What has happened when you’ve got still and listened? What has happened when you got that vision and you were dedicated to it? Or if you’re scared, let us know how and why. The comments below are an incredible place to get support. Also, remember you can subscribe to this video on YouTube so that you can get immediate updates when I post new Claim Your Power videos. And also remember to subscribe to our weekly email so that you can get updates that I don’t send out anywhere else. My most important wish here at Claim Your Power TV is that you get out there, take action and make it real. We’ll see you next week!

Hey there! I’m Mastin Kipp, best-selling author of the book Daily Love: Growing into Grace and creator of Daily Love TV. Welcome to this week’s episode. This week we’re going to talk about romantic relationships, but a little bit of a different tweak on them.

Did you know that there is a spiritual message in your romantic relationships? When you look at the first three to six months, you fall in love but you don’t really fall in love. What you fall in is chemical soup, right? You fall into dopamine. You fall into oxytocin, epinephrine, norepinephrine, serotonin – all the neuro-chemicals and all the peptides and all the different hormones of the body just kind of flood together in this chemical soup. And you feel that sort of magical, mystical, incredible feeling.

The reason why is two-fold. One, because you’re given an experience of what divine enlightenment or the experience of God consciousness or whatever that might be, you’re getting that experience of what that feels like temporarily. And also the biology is designed to make sure that we’re bonding and having sex so the species continues. But the veil eventually drops on all relationships and you see the person for their flaws, and the things that used to make you really love this person are the things that now really piss you off. And instead of leaving, unless you’re being physically abused – in which case, get out immediately – there is an opportunity for you to learn the spiritual lesson.

Here’s what we’ve learned. We all have childhood wounds that we’ve been through, and what’s fascinating is we tend to draw to us people who are of the opposite energy in many ways. So what that means is that if we are the quiet one, we’re attracted to the loud one. Or if we’re the insensitive one, we’re attracted to the sensitive one. And so if we don’t begin to embody the traits in our partner that we admire, we will start to push them away. The reason why you’re attracted to someone is not just physical, chemical and pheromonal; there’s also a spiritual lesson for you. There are pieces of your childhood that need to be worked out. And you get the opportunity to see this beautiful example of someone in front of you who has the elements that you’re missing.

So, you can make them wrong for it, you can argue and try to change them – that never works – or you could really start to take responsibility for your side of the relationship and go, hmm, what’s my spiritual lesson here? Maybe I’m being asked to be more sensitive or maybe I’m being asked to have a greater sense of self or maybe I’m being asked to have more empathy or maybe I’m being asked to open up and be more vulnerable or maybe I’m learning how to set more boundaries. Because the thing that attracts you to someone will be the thing that pisses you off and will be the reason why you break up, unless you embody it.

And here’s the thing, deal with it now. You can leave the relationship and then go on to another relationship, but the thing is you’re just going to keep having that sort of chemical soup in love over and over and over again. The veil will always drop. You’ll date the same person in different shoes. So if you’re in a relationship now and you feel stuck, use this as an opportunity to learn the spiritual lesson because you’re going to learn it one way or another. You’re going to find yourself in the exact same position in the future that you are in right now. So you get the opportunity to dive deeper and really embody what you’ve learned.

So without ego, without needing to be right, without trying to step into the sort of hierarchy of you’re right/they’re wrong – because remember, in a relationship there’s not a sick one and well one. You’re both sick and you’re both well and you’re both going to take responsibility for your side of the street. So really ask yourself, what’s my partner teaching me? Can I be more courteous? Can I be more loving? Do I need to set more boundaries? Do I need to speak up for myself? Do I need to be more sensitive? What attracted you to that person, what’s pissing you off about that person and honestly, how could you embody it? This advice has saved so many relationships. So really think about this. If you know someone who’s in a relationship right now and they’re having some strife, send them this video. It can be very eye-opening for them to get this type of information.

You might be watching this video over on Facebook or over on YouTube. I’m going to invite you to come on over to and really think, what is the spiritual message in my relationship beyond the in-love feelings, beyond the oxytocin? What is the spiritual message? How am I being asked and offered the opportunity to grow here in deeper and deeper ways? Leave a comment below this video and let me know because this is a very powerful lesson. If you don’t learn it now, you’ll learn it in the future, so let’s skip all the heartbreak, let’s skip all that stuff, and help you learn the lesson now so that you can go to the next level in your spiritual life and also in your romantic life. Also, please feel free to subscribe to us over on YouTube so that you can get instant access to whenever we upload a new video. And most importantly, and as always here at Daily Love TV, remember to get out there, take action and make it real. We’ll see you next time!

Are you being patient or procrastinating? How to tell the difference.

Patience is a virtue – but when does patience turn into procrastination?

It can be hard to tell the difference. And procrastination is a dream and purpose killer.

Living your purpose requires action. But it’s also vital that you get into the flow of guidance that is coming your way. This is one of the great paradox’s of life.

A Course In Miracles and Wayne Dyer have said:

“Infinite patience produces immediate results.”

We must be patient with our path. We must show up each and every day ready to serve, willing to surrender and able to let our heart and soul lead.

And yet, at the time time – action is the bridge between your dreams staying a wish and turning into reality.

Tony Robbins says:

“Massive Action is the cure all.”

So, my dear one, it is a dance. Between action and patience. Working hard and surrender. Living your purpose and allowing your purpose to live you.

Most Truths are a paradox – meaning, both are true. Learning how to take massive action while being patient is a fine art and required skill to live your best life.

Let me show you how.

Make it a great week.

All my LOVE,

Hey there! I’m Mastin Kipp, best-selling author of the book Daily Love: Growing into Grace and creator of Daily Love TV. Welcome to this week’s episode. This week we’re going to talk about the difference between stillness and procrastination.

I get asked a lot, “You know, Mastin, I want to meditate, I want to be still and I want to listen to that intuitive voice inside. How can I tell the difference between that and just simply procrastinating?”

So here’s how you tell the difference.

When you’re still, you feel relaxed and your body is relaxed. When you’re procrastinating, you feel tense. And on top of that there’s a sense of “I know I should be doing this” and there’s usually fear associated with procrastination. The reason why we procrastinate is because a part of our body, generally our nervous system, the limbic system and our brain, thinks that if I do this new behavior I’m going to die. That’s the simplest explanation I can give you. You associate change, transformation, trying something new with uncertainty, which is scary, which produces a sensation of death in the body, and so we procrastinate. We put off things. We like to do things that seem easy in the moment and then we put off and put off and put off and put off.

Meditation and stillness is a very powerful tool.

One of my favorite things to say is that prayer is talking to God and meditation is listening. So when you’re still, you get downloads, you get clarity on next action steps you’re supposed to take or whatever the message or spiritual message or directive is. And your goal once you meditate and get still and listen to that inner voice is to put what you’ve learned into action, put that wisdom into action. You want to start to get the wisdom, get the next step, get that next directed step, that intuitive voice, that heart-centered, divine voice inside and actually start to apply it.

So the reason why we get still is not to be still, because life is movement and “movement creates momentum” as my friend Adam Cobb says. So we want movement. Life is all about moving. If your heart stops beating and is still for too long, that’s called death, right? So we want movement in life, but we don’t want chaotic movement. We don’t want to just feel like we’re running around like a hamster on a wheel.

So the way in which we get off that hamster wheel and really get still is we meditate. I like to meditate at least twice a day, 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes at night. It helps me get really still and really calm and in touch with that intuitive voice. But then I take that download, the intuition that I’ve gotten and start to apply it in my every single day life and that’s been a very important skill that I’ve learned and cultivated over time.

So stillness and meditation does not equal stasis in your life.

Stillness should produce momentum. Stillness should put you back on purpose. Meditation is a way to align with your higher wisdom and your higher self. And then embody it through courageous action. Procrastination – you know when you’re doing it. You know you should stop doing it. And if you need a kick in the butt, here’s your kick in the butt to stop that procrastination so that you can get about the business of living your purpose and really bringing your specific, unique gift to this world.

Have you procrastinated in the past? Are you avoiding getting still because there are feelings that you don’t want to feel? Or, are you spending so much time in meditation that you’re not doing anything in implementation? One of my favorite things to say is 1% meditation, 99% implementation. There is such a thing as spiritual bypass through meditation where all you do is meditate and meditate and meditate but you don’t apply or get out there and get courageous in your life. Meditation fuels the courage. Meditation fuels the direction and helps you get in touch with your higher wisdom. Apply it. No longer procrastinate. You’re not going to die, I promise!

You might be watching this video over on YouTube or Facebook. I’m going to invite you to come on over to and below this video let me know why you’re going to stop procrastinating now and when you’re going to start meditating and acting on that intuitive knowing of what you’re next step is.

In the comments below, let me know when and how and why and why now you’re going to be doing this. Also, feel free to subscribe to our videos on YouTube so that you can get instant updates and access to the next coaching video when I post it. And most importantly, and as always here at Daily Love TV, my great wish is for you to get out there, take action and make it real. We’ll see you next time!
