I wanted to layout what I believe is the fastest pathway to creating financial abundance in your life.
It might surprise you… and it might not.
Heres’ the bottom line: you’ve got to find the fastest path to money.
Yes, making a difference is important.
Finding your passion is important.
Taking care of your loved ones is important.
And, no… money is not the most important thing.
Let’s remember what the great Zig Ziglar said about money…
“Money isn’t the most important thing in life, but it’s reasonably close to oxygen on the ‘gotta have it’ scale.”
You see, money is the vehicle that allows you to make a difference, to live your passion, to take care of those that you love.
Think about it. If we keep riffing on the money/oxygen idea… when you’re in an airplane… what is the instruction in case of an emergency?
Put the oxygen mask on YOURSELF first.
THEN help a child and/or others.
Why is this?
Because if you don’t take care of YOU first, then you won’t be able to help others… and in fact… you’ll endanger yourself, and the crew will have to risk valuable time and energy getting the mask on you when they could be doing other things.
So, just as we’ve been told countless times on airplanes when it comes to oxygen, we’ve got to take care of ourselves first, and the same idea is true with money.
Do you love oxygen more than God? Or your loved ones? Or your purpose?
No.
But without oxygen, none of that stuff can happen.
The same thing is true with money. Money is the oxygen of your purpose, your passion, and your highest ideals.
If you have a passion for helping those in need, it’s wise to start with yourself. I get it; we are a generation about passion, purpose and living higher ideals. But, without money, those dreams will never come true.
So, as much as we like to hide behind the “love/light/purpose/passion” conversation… let’s get right down to you… you need money.
This doesn’t make you bad, evil, greedy or any of that… it makes you a human being on planet earth who must play by earthly rules.
So… here are the three steps to cash, now:
1. Ditch perfection and figure out your M.V.P.
M.V.P. if your Minimum Viable Product. This is the smallest thing you can create to add the most value. In the coaching business, your MVP is typically a one-on-one coaching package.
The key with the MVP is to let it be messy, let it be imperfect, let it not have all the bells and whistles.
Reid Hoffman, the founder of LinkedIn, says this about the MVP mindset:
“If you’re not embarrassed by the first version of your product, you’ve launched too late.”
2. Shift your mindset to service over passion.
Instead of asking what your passion is, train yourself to help others.
Focus on it. Pay attention to the common threads that emerge.
Where you find yourself getting lost in time flying by.
As you focus on helping others instead of “your” passion, “your” social media, “your” bills, “your” following, etc… abundance will open up.
Why? Because you will see an infinite abundance of opportunities to serve.
3. Don’t wait for clarity, start now to find clarity.
To be successful longterm, you need two things: courage and clarity, And – courage comes first. Then clarity. Ideas don’t start out with perfect clarity. You never know as much as you want before you get started.
Instead of needing perfect clarity or a perfect plan before you start… simply start now, messy, imperfect and embarrassed with your MVP.
That’s the basic process: create an MVP, focus on how you can serve and start now.
This is the fastest path to cash.
And, the sooner you start, the better.
My greatest wish for you is that you implement what I’ve shared here.
How can you get started today with these three steps so that you can elevate yourself and generate the money you need to make a difference, live your purpose, help others and finally take care of your family?
Remember to get out there, take action and make it real!
